In today's business environment, the survival of the skin care salon is not assured. Additional services are necessary to attract and maintain clientele. Concern with appearance extends far beyond mere complexion care.
Think about the current services you offer. Take a moment to analyze how reinforcing the image of your client will support all of your other esthetic procedures. Skin care and appearance counseling compliment each other. Once you are trained in appearance counseling, you will be able to counsel individuals privately, give presentations to corporations or teach classes to your peers.
Appearance counseling is an image development program
designed to increase the revenue of estheticians, cosmetologists, nurses, psychologists, career professionals and the general public by giving them the knowledge to provide a new service to their clients/patients. Unlike image consulting, appearance counseling involves a trained professional teaching a client/patient the psychology behind the art of style and how to use it to elicit the appropriate response they are seeking from others.
The appearance counselor respects the individual's psychological issues associated with their image but is trained to help the patient broaden their ability to experiment with their appearance by using costuming as a form of spontaneous expression.
A woman's clothing, hairstyle and makeup reflect her outer personality, inner essence and mirrors both her professional and social environment. Style preferences protect the wearer. This training program explores these concepts in great detail.
