A professional career as a medical esthetician or cosmetologist
offers many opportunities and rewards. Students who complete our program become experts through training in cosmetically camouflaging and normalizing the appearance of disfigured patients. Camouflage Therapy Course Contents:
 Psychology of the disfigured patient, management and assessment.
Medical terminology
Burn therapy; comprehensive study of the physiological effects
of burns and their treatments, includes video presentations.
Corrective makeup and camouflage techniques; hands-on instruction with patients. The exploration of various brands of medical makeup, includes video presentation.
 Color theory, color terminology, the use of tints and shades
to alternate value, depigmentation, color matching and color recognition.

Esthetic therapy for cancer and AIDS patients
Dermatologic Skin Care Course Contents:
 Full review of dermatologic diagnosis and treatment methods,
commonly prescribed medications for skin conditions (topical & systemic), including the investigation of OTC medications.
Acne management.
Cellular Rejuvenation
Allergies and inflammatory disorders commonly seen by dermatologists.
Eczema and the medical esthetician's role in its management.
Erythema and telangiectasia
Positive and negative aspects of facial treatments.
 Age associated skin changes, exploration of the causes of
aging and how to minimize its effects.
Photosensitivity.
Pre-cancers of the skin.
Laser therapy.
Reactions to Cosmetics.
Categorizing Standard Cosmetic Formulations.
The difference between drugs and cosmetics.
Facts about cleansing preparation.
Exploring Micropigmentation.
Indications of hormonal dysfunctions.
Planning for Success
Our students are taught how to set very specific career goals, target their market by recognizing their USP (Unique Selling Position), develop and prepare a successful business plan, how to write a curriculum vitae and how to construct a professional patient portfolio. Telephone consultations are available for those students who have questions and need advice upon returning to their practice or salon. Job placement assistance, follow-up career counseling and letters of reference for graduates are provided upon request.
Course Includes: Camouflage Therapy Kit (replica of kit used in clinics) that contains over 75 items for camouflage treatments. Includes two cover cream palettes with 48 pigment shades. Everything needed to set up a cosmetic rehabilitation practice. Valued at $350.
Teaching Aids: Working manual and textbook. On-site training includes videos, slide and overhead presentations, theory, review and practical demonstrations.
Courses Offered:
at both of our Training Facilities in San Francisco, California and 1201 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Suite 300, Washington, D.C. 20004. Course Hours: The five day course is scheduled eight hours a day with a one hour lunch period and two intermediate breaks. Hours may vary on the weekends. A total of 40 lecture and practical hours.

To receive certification you must meet the standard graduation requirements of the course, passing all written and oral tests as well as a final exam with an 85% passing grade.
Admission Requirements
